Process

Step 1: Contact Management via Addressbook API

The Road Construction Company manages employee contacts and contact groups within BestSMS's address book system using the Addressbook API. This ensures an organised database for communication.

Step 2: Weather Warning Issuance via Group SMS

Whenever weather warnings such as blocked roads, severe storms, or floods occur, the company issues warnings to its employees using BestSMS's Group SMS service. They specify the recipient group within the address book system to ensure targeted communication.

Step 3: Weather Warning Issuance via SMS API

The company's internal software triggers an API call to BestSMS's SMS API, specifying the GroupID (in UUID format) associated with the recipient group. BestSMS's system reads the recipients within the group and issues the weather warning to all relevant employees.

Step 4: Real-Time Delivery Monitoring

Upon receiving delivery acknowledgements from the mobile carrier, BestSMS sends delivery receipts back to the company's system using webhooks. This enables real-time monitoring of message delivery success/failed rates within the company's system.
