How to Configure Webhooks for a User

This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to configure webhooks for a user in the BestSMS Web Dashboard. By setting up webhooks, you can receive real-time notifications and reports on message statuses and replies.

Step 1: Login to the Web Dashboard

1. Open your web browser and navigate to my.bestsms.au.
2. Enter your login credentials to access the dashboard.

Step 2: Go to [Users] page

1. Once logged in, locate and select the [Users] from the main menu.

Step 3: Select Your Username to Set Webhook

1. Find your username in the list of users.
2. Click on your username to access user-specific settings.

Step 4: Click [Edit/Modify] Button

1. On the user details page, click the [Edit/Modify] button to make changes.

Step 5: Click [API] Tab

1. Navigate to the API tab to access API-related settings.

Step 6: Configure the Reporting Section

In the Reporting section of the API tab, you can configure the following settings:

• Webhook Callback URL: Enter your endpoint URL where the webhooks should be sent.

• Webhook Callback Format: Select the format for the webhook payload: JSON or XML.

• Webhook Callback Sender: Enter the email or username that will be used for validation.

• Webhook Callback APIKey: Provide the APIKey that will be used for validation.

• SMS Report Method: Choose Webhooks for the method of receiving SMS status update webhooks.

• SMS Reply Report Method: Choose Webhooks for the method of receiving SMS reply webhooks.

Step 7: Save Your Changes

1. After configuring the necessary settings, ensure you click the Save button to apply the changes.
