Send SMS using the Dashboard

The Dashboard serves as a versatile platform for sending various types of SMS messages efficiently. Whether you need to send a quick message, engage in SMS conversations, or utilise advanced features like headers, footers, and emojis, the Dashboard has you covered.

Accessing the Dashboard:

If you don't have Dashboard access, you can request it from your account administrator or contact your BestSMS representative for assistance.

1. Quick SMS:

• Located in the top-right corner of the Dashboard.
• Alternatively, access it through Reports | Received.
• Ideal for sending short, immediate messages.

2. Send SMS:

• Found under Send SMS.
• Provides a comprehensive interface for composing and sending SMS messages.
• Offers advanced features such as headers, footers, emojis, and substitutions for personalised messages.

3. SMS Conversations:

• Found under SMS Conversations.
• Enables SMS chat functionality.
• Add a number to initiate conversations.
• Facilitates ongoing communication with contacts.

4. Headers and Footers:

• Optional components that can be automatically populated to save time.
• Refer to the Adding a new user guide for details.
• Ensure to manage character count when using emojis, as they reduce text to 70 characters per SMS part.

5. Substitutions:

• Customise messages by inserting first names and other personalised values.
• Access data from the Address Book or imported contact list for enhanced personalisation.

6. Saved Templates:

• Choose from pre-existing templates for efficient message creation.
• Access saved templates when composing a new message.

7. Sending to Address Book Groups using Email-to-SMS:

• Navigate to the Address Book and select a group.
• Click Group Maintenance to obtain the Group Code.
• Send an Email-to-SMS by addressing it to group.[the_group_code]@bestsms.au.

8. Other Methods:

• Explore alternative methods such as Email SMS and SMS API integration for diverse messaging needs.
