How to send bulk sms using BestSMS Email SMS

Sending an Email-to-SMS message to multiple mobile numbers can be a useful tool for automation.

Although the Dashboard's Send SMS Broadcast tool offers additional functionality and simplicity, using Email-to-SMS can streamline processes for automated tasks.

Step 1: Ensure Your Email Address is Registered

Before you begin, make sure the email address you will be sending from (e.g., [email protected]) is registered with BestSMS for sending messages. If it is not, contact your sales representative or refer to the guide on Adding a New Email Address for Sending.

Step 2: Creating Your Email Message

Create your Email-to-SMS message following the format below:

• To: [email protected]
  • Alternatively, specify an Address Book Group: group.%the_group_code%@bestsms.au (This will send the message to all contacts in the group. The group code can be found by viewing the Address Book group and clicking Group Maintenance).
• Subject: Your own message reference (e.g., "My Test Text").
• Body: The text message you want to send (e.g., "Hello, this is a test message. Thank you.").
• Attachment: A CSV (Download Sample CSV) file of mobile numbers (with 'Mobile' in the title row). This is not required if you are sending to an Address Book Group.

You can track the status of your SMS message by:

• Checking the status via your dashboard login.
