Send Email-to-SMS Messages

Follow these steps to send SMS via email effortlessly. Learn about tracking, receiving replies, and common FAQs for seamless communication.

 

Step 1: Register Your Email Address

Ensure that your email address is registered for sending SMS via BestSMS. If not, contact your sales representative or refer to the "Adding a New User" guide.

 

Step 2: Creating Your Email Message

  1. TO Field: Specify the recipient's mobile number followed by "@sms.bestsms.au". Optionally, send to an Address Book Group using the format "group.%the_group_code%@sms.bestsms.au".
  2. SUBJECT Field: Enter your message reference.
  3. BODY Field: Compose your text message to be sent.

 

Step 3: Tracking Your SMS Message

  • Check the status via your dashboard login.
  • Receive a delivery report via email.

 

Step 4: Receiving SMS Replies

  • Receive an email notification if the mobile phone replies.
  • View replies received via your dashboard login.

1. How Does Email-to-SMS Work?

Our service converts your email into a text message. The recipient will see a normal SMS message on their phone.

2. Can I Send Multiple SMS at Once?

  • List multiple mobile numbers in the TO field separated by commas.
  • Utilise the Email-to-SMS Broadcast function by attaching a CSV list of mobile numbers. For larger broadcasts, consider using the Web Dashboard with support for importing contact lists.


3. Sending Personalised SMS Text Messages (SMS Merge)

4. How Many Email Addresses Can Be Registered for Sending?

You can have unlimited users set up for sending. Domain access can also be enabled, allowing all users *@yourdomain.com to send.


5. Can I Send Long Text Messages (More Than 160 Characters)?

Yes! You pay per block of text that you send. Refer to the Long SMS guide for more information.
